Comcast says it will hire 1,000 military veterans by 2015. On Wednesday, the company will host a job fair for veterans at its Stone Mountain training center.
The job fair is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1707 Lewis Way, Stone Mountain (30083). Comcast will provide information to veterans about career opportunities, teach resume development, and help direct applicants to positions that are currently available.
“Comcast has a rich tradition of employing and promoting veterans in its workforce,” said Angela Albert, vice president of human resources for Comcast in Atlanta. “In fact, many of our company’s top leaders are veterans, a population that clearly aligns well with our culture of strong leadership and teamwork.”
The open house in Atlanta is one of several taking place at Comcast locations across the nation in May. For information about the event and Comcast’s focus on hiring veterans, visit www.comcast-jobs.com/military. The site also includes job listings.
