Atlanta Police Department And Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta Seek Public’s Help To Identify Persons Responsible For Cable Equipment Thefts
Crime Stoppers Atlanta offering up to $5,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment
ATLANTA, GA: April 29, 2015 – Atlanta investigators and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are asking the public for information on subjects involved in the theft, purchase and resale of Comcast line gear equipment, cable amplifiers, nodes and power supplies. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible.
This equipment is specialized and used to boost signals to our customers which provide video, internet, telephone and home security services. These thefts are generally occurring between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
Comcast and Atlanta Crime Stoppers ask anyone who witnesses or suspects someone of tampering or stealing cable distribution equipment to call 911. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES APPROACH THE SUSPECT(S).

Those who submit tips do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $5,000.
