Digital Literacy Expo At Savannah School

Comcast recently partnered with Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools to host the Digital Literacy Rally and Expo.  Approximately 300 students and parents attended the event at Alfred Ely Beach High School in Savannah on Nov. 6.

The event was designed to make families aware of the many digital learning opportunities available in the Savannah community. Families learned more about Comcast’s Internet Essentials program and school district resources including Career, Technical and Agricultural Pathways (CTAE); 21st Century Community Learning Centers; Bring Your Own Technology information and more.

Additionally, attendees interacted with several local youth-serving organizations that offer high-tech learning tools.  Organizations included the City of Savannah Parks & Recreation Department, Parent University, Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club and others.  Families received free Internet Essentials tote bags and notebooks from Comcast.  Additionally, Comcast donated four iPads to area students during the event.
