Comcast Names Anthony Biggs Vice President of Technical Operations
Comcast announced today that Anthony Biggs has been named Vice President of Technical Operations for the company’s ‘Big South’ region. He will be based in Peachtree Corners, Ga., and report to Jason Gumbs, Regional SVP for Comcast. In his new role, he will lead the end-to-end operations of the region’s fulfillment and communication operations teams, focusing on implementing strategies to deliver the best customer experience. He will also oversee the region’s network maintenance efforts.
Mr. Biggs has 24 years of experience in the telecom industry. A U.S. Navy veteran, he joined Comcast in 2012 as Senior Director of Technical Operations for the Delaware and Pennsylvania region and was promoted to Vice President of Technical Operations for New Jersey and Northern Delaware in 2016.
In 2019, he was promoted to Vice President of Technical Operations in Comcast’s ‘Freedom’ region, where he was responsible for the vision, direction and leadership of their technical operations teams, serving approximately 2.5 million customers. Recently, he took on the role of Region Vice President of Network and Construction.
“Anthony brings a long and impressive track record of strong leadership and performance to the Big South,” said Gumbs. “With his background and experience, he will undoubtedly make immediate and valuable contributions to help us continue to elevate the customer experience.”
Mr. Biggs earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Sojourner Douglass College and holds Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certifications. The Mississippi native enjoys spending time with his wife, three children and grandchildren. He also enjoys fishing, volunteering and traveling, and is an advocate for diversity, inclusion and military veterans.
