Atlanta, Ga., Oct. 13, 2015 — Comcast announced today the appointment of Shawn Geagan as Senior Director of Business Development, reporting to Regional SVP Doug Guthrie. Mr. Geagan will be based in Atlanta and focus on opportunities in the commercial and multi-residential marketplace across the southeast.
“Shawn brings to Comcast an impressive industry background, which includes strategic sales and leadership experience, that makes him a great addition to my executive team,” said Guthrie. “He will focus on solidifying our presence as a preferred provider of solutions to mixed-use properties and other large scale developments throughout the Comcast service area.”
With nearly 20 years of experience in sales management, Mr. Geagan has been highly successful at developing direct sales teams and identifying alternative channels for strong business growth.
Most recently, he served as Corporate Director of Sales and Strategy at Cox Communications in Atlanta. At Cox, he developed a successful nationwide sales strategy to capture and protect exclusive bulk marketing agreements. Prior to this role, he served as Regional Director of New Product Development at Time Warner Cable in Charlotte, where he focused on multi-residential housing, universities and other alternate sales channels.
Mr. Geagan has a Bachelor of Science degree from Syracuse University, and a Master of Business Administration from Kennesaw State University.
