Comcast announced today that Mike Thibodeaux has been named Vice President of Market Development for the company’s ‘Big South’ region. He will be based in Atlanta and report to Jason Gumbs, Regional SVP for Comcast. In his new role, he will be responsible for helping to grow the business through network expansions, mixed-use communities, and complex deal strategies.
Mr. Thibodeaux has 18 years of experience in the telecom industry. He joined Comcast in 2012 as Comcast Business’ Director of Enterprise Sales for the region and was promoted to Sr. Director of Enterprise Sales in 2016.
In 2020, he was elevated to Vice President of Small and Medium Business (SMB) Sales where under his leadership, the region experienced tremendous success.
“Mike brings a successful track record of significantly growing our presence in the region,” said Mr. Gumbs. “I am confident that his strong leadership skills, business expertise and ability to consistently deliver best-in-class results will set us up for continued growth and success.”
Mr. Thibodeaux earned his bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Computer Science from Pace University and is a member of the Technology Association of Georgia.
