Comcast Encourages Eligible Customers to Sign up for Affordable Connectivity Program

So much of life and work happens online. From video chatting with a relative, to taking a work meeting from home, to streaming a favorite TV show, it is vital to be connected in today’s digital world. But not everyone has online access at home. That is why we are participating in the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP).

ACP was started by the federal government to remove cost as a barrier to broadband adoption and to close the digital divide. Comcast has been a proud participant in the program since its start in December 2021.

Eligible customers can receive a $30 monthly credit towards their internet and Xfinity Mobile services. For customers who have both internet and Xfinity Mobile, the benefit will first be applied to the internet portion of their bill. Any remaining funds will be applied towards the customer’s Xfinity Mobile service.

About 48 million households nationally are eligible for ACP, and there are several ways to qualify. If your household income is less than twice the federal poverty level– about $55,000 annually for a family of four or $27,000 a year for an individual – you will qualify for the credit. In addition, if you receive SNAP/EBT, Medicaid, or free and reduced-price school lunch, or one of many of the other federal assistance benefits, you also qualify.

Signing up is easy. New and existing Xfinity Internet or Internet Essentials customers can visit www.xfinity.com/acp. Those interested can also determine their eligibility and sign up by calling 1-844-963-0231 between 8 a.m. and noon daily.

Finally, potential enrollees can visit our more than 500 Xfinity stores nationwide to sign up for Internet Essentials Plus, a service that includes 100 Mbps speed, a cable modem, access to millions of WiFi hotspots, and unlimited data for $29.95 per month. During their visit, customers can also learn how to enroll in ACP.

I encourage those who qualify to learn more about ACP and sign up for this fantastic program.
