Comcast Announces New Addition to ‘Big South’ Region Leadership Team

Brenda Laboy Named Regional Vice President of  Network Engineering and Construction

ATLANTA – March 22, 2021 – Comcast has named Brenda Laboy its new Vice President of Network Engineering and Construction for the company’s ‘Big South’ region. Led by Regional SVP Jason Gumbs, the team oversees operations in the southeastern United States and is based in Norcross, Georgia.

In her new role, Ms. Laboy will oversee the strategic operation of Comcast’s advanced broadband network, which supports millions of customer relationships across the southeast region.

Ms. Laboy comes to Comcast from AT&T, where she spent nearly 17 years in a variety of leadership roles. Most recently, she served as Assistant Vice President of Wireless and Wireline Construction and Engineering in Los Angeles, California.

“Brenda brings a wealth of industry knowledge and leadership expertise to her new role,” said Mr. Gumbs. “Her comprehensive network buildout expertise will prove particularly beneficial, as we seek to enhance and expand our infrastructure to meet the communications needs of our customers.”

Ms. Laboy received a bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and her MBA from the University of Southern California.
