Comcast’s ‘Big South’ Region Announces Executive Leadership Additions

ATLANTA – March 3, 2020 – Comcast has appointed two new Vice Presidents to the ‘Big South’ senior leadership team. Led by Regional SVP Jason Gumbs, the team oversees operations in the southeastern United States and is based in Norcross, Ga.

Jorge Magana, Vice President of Engineering

Jorge Magana is the region’s new Vice President of Engineering. He comes to Comcast with more than 25 years of experience leading a variety of technical operations, engineering, field services and vendor management teams. His background includes managing departments in support of data, IP, transport and voice for enterprise and government clients of all sizes.

He most recently served as Vice President of Global Operations – Centralized Services at CenturyLink, overseeing a team of engineers, technicians and project managers focused on achieving consistent network performance and reliability goals. Prior to this role, he spent nearly 15 years at Level 3 Communications.

Coleman Oglesbee, Vice President of Customer Experience and Project Management

Comcast has appointed Coleman Oglesbee Vice President of Customer Experience and Project Management.  Mr. Oglesbee has been at Comcast for 12 years, where he was most recently focused on customer experience strategy at the company’s Central Division headquarters in Atlanta.

In his new role, he will focus on process improvement, analytics and program management around the Big South customer experience, including customer journeys and Net Promoter System performance. Mr. Oglesbee has held a variety of leadership roles at Comcast, including Director of Business Intelligence and Director of Technical Operations.

“Jorge and Coleman possess valuable and extensive leadership experience,” said Mr. Gumbs. “They will be great additions to the team, and I look forward to their unique perspectives and contributions toward helping us continue to elevate the customer experience in Comcast’s Big South Region.”
