ATLANTA— Oct. 17, 2017 — Comcast NBCUniversal’s Atlanta-based startup accelerator, The Farm, today opened applications for its first 12-week program, launching in March 2018. The program will focus on very early-stage internet, mobile and IoT startups that can leverage Comcast NBCUniversal technologies, infrastructure and resources to solve major problems across numerous industries.
Applications are now open at TheFarmATL.com.
“We are looking forward to welcoming a diverse group of entrepreneurs for The Farm’s inaugural cohort and to connect the next generation of tech entrepreneurs with training, mentors, funding opportunities and a proven methodology with a track record of success,” said Burunda Prince-Jones, managing director of The Farm. “Atlanta’s thriving tech scene is the perfect home for The Farm. We are excited to partner in the continued growth of this community.”
The Farm’s highly competitive application process will be open to all companies, with a strong emphasis placed on startups in the mobility, connectivity and communications space. Each startup must have at least two founders, and all teams are required to be physically present in Atlanta for the full 12 weeks of the program. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis with a deadline of December 23rd. Entrepreneurs are encouraged to complete the process as soon as possible, as no more than 10 teams will be accepted.
