Comcast Business and Expedient Partner to Support Business Growth in Memphis
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (Sept. 7, 2017) – Comcast Business today announced it has established a new fiber optic Point of Presence (PoP) at Expedient’s Memphis data center. This connectivity will offer customers of Expedient, a cloud computing and data center infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider, access to Comcast Business’ 10-gigabit fiber network in Memphis. The Ethernet service will provide businesses, schools, hospitals and government organizations with highly scalable and ultra-fast connectivity.
“Comcast Business has led the way in providing connectivity options for businesses in Memphis that require high-speed networks between locations, to a local data center or to the cloud,” said Jim Kothe, Regional Vice President at Expedient Data Centers. “We are proud to be able to provide this level of connectivity to our customers in the Memphis region.”
“Cloud strategies and gigabit-powered connectivity have become key drivers for furthering business and economic growth,” said Michelle Pluskota, VP of Business Services for Comcast. “As we continue our investments in Memphis, our partnership with Expedient will enable even more customers to achieve high levels of performance and security.”
In 2016, Comcast Business completed a multi-million-dollar network investment across greater Memphis, capable of delivering up to 10-gigabit speeds to local businesses.
