Comcast’s Overton Park Clean-Up Project in Memphis
On Saturday, April 15, more than 50 Comcast volunteers, elected officials and community partners including the Collegiate School of Memphis-Key Club, Memphis Rugby Club and Overton Park Conservancy supporters joined together to spruce-up the Memphis Overton Park Rainbow Lake Play Ground and Dog Park as a part of the 16th annual Comcast Cares Day. Volunteers spread four dump trucks worth of wood fiber around the playground and dog park areas, and picked-up weeds and litter around the playgrounds and walking trails.
Comcast Cares Day, which takes place each April during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast NBCUniversal’s companywide celebration of their year-round commitment to service and the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort in the country.
