Comcast Donates $10,000 to Atlanta Community Food Bank

Effort to provide school supplies for underserved districts across greater Atlanta

WHAT: Comcast has donated $10,000 to the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Kids In Need teacher supply store to support area students. Comcast employee volunteers will also assist with distribution of the supplies from the food bank’s Jefferson Avenue location. Teachers from 12 surrounding school districts are able to set appointments and visit the store for supplies.

WHO: Teachers in the following programs can participate: Atlanta Public Schools, Clayton County Schools, Cobb County Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Douglas County Schools, Fulton County Schools, Gainesville City Schools, Gwinnett County Schools, portions of Hall and Henry County Schools, Marietta City Schools, and Spalding County schools.

WHEN:  Comcast volunteers will participate from 2:30-5:30 p.m. on Aug. 22, 24, and 26.
