WHAT: Comcast Cares Day, which takes place each April during National Volunteer Month, is Comcast NBCUniversal’s companywide celebration of their year-round commitment to service and the nation’s largest single-day corporate volunteer effort in the country.
On Saturday, April 30 at 8:30 a.m., at Comcast’s signature project in Knoxville, more than 200 Comcast volunteers, elected officials, and community partners such as Legacy Parks and Appalachian Mountain Bike Club, will clean, clear paths, and build trails at Baker Creek Preserve. This day of maintenance will help protect the environment and improve the experience for all the trail users of Knoxville’s Urban Wilderness.
Additional volunteers are needed for digging, planting trees, and clearing invasive plants along Baker Creek. For more information or to register for this project, visit: https://www.comcastinthecommunity.com/Project/Detail?projectId=7152.
Onsite registration will be available, but participants are encouraged to sign up beforehand to ensure they get a t-shirt.
