(Atlanta) December 10, 2015:  Comcast announced today that it has installed its Advanced Communities fiber optic network directly to the new Modera Morningside apartment community in Atlanta.  The development, which offers 300 apartment homes, is located just north of the city’s Virginia Highland shopping district and includes an onsite Sprouts Farmers Market – a 26,755-square-foot organic grocery store – which is the centerpiece of 32,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Residents now have access to ultra-fast Internet service, Xfinity Home security, and advanced X1 video service, among other offerings.

“The fiber-backed experience of the future has arrived at Modera Morningside,” said Kerry McKelvey, vice president of sales and marketing for Comcast. “Our network provides some of the fastest residential broadband speeds available in Atlanta today, unleashing an unparalleled high-tech experience.”

“Modera Morningside delivers the quality living experience residents want from a high-end apartment community in a vibrant neighborhood, and we’re excited to further enhance our offerings with the best Internet technology in the marketplace,” said Oz Friedmann, development associate for Mill Creek Residential. “Lifestyle-enhancing amenities like ultra-fast Internet speeds are critical to the value we provide to residents, and create an extraordinary in-home experience.”

Modera Morningside is located at 1845 Piedmont Avenue NE in Atlanta, and offers easy access to major employers and entertainment options, including Lenox Square, Phipps Plaza, Atlantic Station and Midtown. It also provides easy access to major thoroughfares, such as I-75, I-85, and GA 400, and is walking distance to the Lindbergh Center MARTA station.
