Savannah, Ga. (June 15, 2015) – Comcast will join Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson and other state and local officials and community partners for the grand opening of its Xfinity Customer Center. The ribbon-cutting event is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 at 8:30 a.m., and will be held at 1800 E. Victory Drive in Savannah.
Georgia State Rep. Mickey Stephens, State Senator Lester Jackson and Tina Mock of the Savannah Area Chamber will also be on hand to celebrate. Members of the media are encouraged to attend, and will enjoy an interactive demonstration of Comcast’s X1, high-speed Internet, Xfinity Home, and Xfinity Wi-Fi services.
The 4,300-square foot space is the first of Comcast’s newly designed locations to open in the area. The storefront is designed to provide an interactive way for customers to experience products and services.
The location features nine service counters, an iPad ‘bar’ with interactive product demonstrations, and dedicated areas that showcase Comcast’s suite of products and apps. It also offers customers payment kiosks for automated bill payments and on-site staff that can facilitate equipment transactions.
Comcast initially opened the storefront in March 2015.
