Comcast Names Tonya Webster VP Of Customer Experience
Atlanta, Ga. (March 27, 2015) – Comcast announced today that Tonya Webster has been named Vice President of Customer Experience. She will be based in Norcross, Ga., and report to Doug Guthrie, Regional SVP for Comcast, as a member of his senior leadership team. In her new role, Tonya will be responsible for improving the end-to-end customer experience in eight states throughout Comcast’s southern region. Her first day will be March 30.
With more than 15 years of experience in operations and project management, Tonya possesses strong expertise in customer loyalty programs and ‘Voice of Customer’ business strategies that are designed to support improved customer engagement.
Most recently, Tonya served as SVP of Customer Experience for Citigroup in Atlanta. At Citigroup, she was responsible for the implementation of marketing and communication strategies focusing on driving end-to-end customer experience and employee engagement. Additionally, she has held key leadership positions at Career Builder, GE Capital and USAA.
“Tonya brings to Comcast a successful track record in dramatically improving customer loyalty and engagement,” said Guthrie. “With her unique background and skill set, I am confident that Tonya will lead the way in improving the overall service experience, and I look forward to her contributions.”
Tonya earned her bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies-Human Biology from the University of Texas, and her MBA in Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University in Texas. She is a certified Scrum Master (CSM), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (CSSGB) member, a Project Management Professional (PMP) and a graduate of the GE Executive Development Program.
