Comcast Sponsors 5th Annual STEM Event

Comcast was a recent sponsor of the Sandy Springs Education Force’s 5th annual STEM Event – Engaging Today’s Students for Tomorrow’s Careers in Communication Technology.

Each year, the Sandy Springs Education Force brings local students and volunteers together to experience all that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) has to offer. With help from Comcast and the Georgia Tech Research Institute, the event was a major success.

The activities focused on the inner-workings of communication technology, and joined community leaders, businesses and educators to offer hands-on exhibitions and inform students on career opportunities in the sector.

“Comcast was proud to support the Sandy Springs Education Force in making this year’s event a resounding success,” said Comcast Regional SVP Doug Guthrie. “We have a long tradition of promoting STEM opportunities in the communities we serve, and believe that programs like this set up young students for future success.”
