Comcast Brings Internet Essentials To Terrebonne Parish School

Comcast held a press conference at Southdown Elementary School in Houma, LA., on Sept. 4th to officially kick off Internet Essentials in the Terrebonne Parish.  Comcast donated five personal computers to the school, and each student received an Internet Essentials (IE) notebook and flyer to take home.  In attendance were the Superintendent of Education, Comcast employees, and several hundred students and faculty.  Arlanda Williams, Terrebonne Parish Council District 2, was on hand and spoke at the event about the importance of bridging the digital divide in today’s classroom.
