Comcast Attends Mooretown Beautification Project

Louisiana State Rep. Barbara Norton and Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover recently held a formal unveiling of the Mooretown Beautification Project in Shreveport, La., on June 28. As part of Ms. Norton’s vision, she was able to secure $20,000 to fund half of the project. The city of Shreveport provided the remaining $20,000. With a strong focus on supporting the communities in which it operates, Comcast attended the ribbon-cutting event. 101_1744

The Mooretown Beautification Project, located at the corner of Hollywood Avenue and Kennedy Drive, will serve as a gateway to welcome visitors to Mooretown.   The streetscape will transform this corner into a positive and attractive amenity for the community.

“We have worked hard to provide this new area of beautification for our community,” Rep. Norton said. “This project is a point of pride for the Mooretown community and the City of Shreveport, and will show improvement, dignity and respect for the community we live in. I am proud to see the completion of such an important project for my constituents.”
