Showcasing the Home of the Future in Atlanta!
Comcast VP Dennis Mathew discusses the advantages of Xfinity Home with a member of the Atlanta media.
The cloud-based home of the future recently arrived in Atlanta – and the local media was on hand for a grand tour of a house recently equipped with the latest in communications and home security technology.
Comcast VP and smart home expert Dennis Mathew demonstrated features such as EcoSaver, a cloud-based solution that can help consumers reduce their energy use and save money on their utility bills year-round. The EcoSaver solution, when paired with the XFINITY Home thermostat, learns the unique heating and cooling patterns of a home and makes automatic and incremental adjustments to the thermostat based on real-time weather data, the thermal characteristics of the house and the temperature preferences of the occupants.
XFINITY Home is a broadband and cloud-based platform that provides the next-generation of easy, intuitive security, home control and energy management features without wiring or electrical conduits. Whether sitting on a beach, at work, or in a coffee shop down the street, XFINITY Home customers can check in on their pets and children; control their thermostats; open the door for a neighbor to water the plants; turn on lights or appliances and more with a simple touch of a finger on an LCD touch screen panel, on a computer, or on a tablet or smart phone using the XFINITY Home app.
