Adverse Weather Update: Comcast South Operations Impacted by Winter Storm Inga
Winter Storm Inga continues to move across the southern and eastern states, bringing difficult travel conditions and prompting declared states of emergency. Comcast South is under reduced operations today, January 17, with weather related delays for service appointments, installations and Xfinity retail store support as follows:
- East Tennessee: Service appointments are on a two hour delay, and our Xfinity retail stores plan to open at 11 a.m. EST
- Middle Tennessee: Service appointments are on a two hour delay, and our Xfinity retail stores plan to open at 11 a.m. CST
- West Tennessee: Service appointments are on a two hour delay, and our Xfinity retail store plans to open at 12 p.m. CST
- Alabama: Our Huntsville, Mobile and Florence markets will have service appointments on a two hour delay, and our retail stores will plan to open at 10 a.m. CST
- Mississippi: Service appointments are on a two hour delay, and our Xfinity retail stores plan to open at 11 a.m. CST
- Atlanta: Service appointments are on a four hour delay, and our Xfinity retail stores plan to open at 12 p.m. EST
- Louisiana: Service appointments are on a two hour delay, and our Xfinity retail stores plan to open at 12 p.m. CST
Customers located in those impacted areas may also experience a loss or interruption of their Xfinity service due to the severe weather conditions. Comcast’s goal is to restore any services affected as soon as it is safe for our employees to do so.
