An Update for our Georgia and South Carolina Customers
An Update for our Georgia and South Carolina Customers
September 13, 2017
Comcast has restored service to more than two-thirds of our customers in the communities impacted by Hurricane Irma.
We have achieved this thanks to the hundreds of employees and contractors who have worked around the clock in recent days. We have also benefitted from dozens of technicians and repair specialists from other Comcast markets who traveled across several states to lend a helping hand.
We continue to work closely with local power companies as they restore service to tens of thousands of customers each day. In those coastal communities that are still not accessible, we remain focused on bringing them back online as quickly as possible.
In addition, we are proactively notifying impacted customers with instructions on how to power cycle their equipment, so they are ready once power is restored.
For outage-related questions, Comcast asks customers to call 1-800-XFINITY, visit www.xfinity.com/support, leverage the My Account app, or follow us on Twitter @ComcastCares.
We will continue to update customers on our post-storm progress via https://south.comcast.com and on Twitter @ComcastSouth. We appreciate our customers’ patience during this challenging time.
Thank you.
