Comcast Investment will deliver Tuscaloosa’s fastest internet speeds to hundreds of area
businesses, schools, hospitals and government agencies
Tuscaloosa, AL – January 25, 2021 – Comcast Business today announced it has completed a significant fiber optic network upgrade across Tuscaloosa, capable of delivering up to 10-gigabit-per-second (Gbps) dedicated internet speeds and ethernet private line services to organizations of all sizes. Comcast’s investment is designed to more effectively support emerging technologies and the mission critical data transfers that today’s businesses require.

- Ethernet Private Line: point-to-point connectivity between two customer sites for bandwidth-intensive applications

- Ethernet Network Service: multipoint-to-multipoint connectivity to connect organizations with high-bandwidth requirements and multiple locations across Comcast’s network
- Ethernet Dedicated Internet: continuous, high-bandwidth connectivity between customers’ LANs and the public Internet
