Comcast South Addresses Impact from Winter Storm Hunter

Winter Storm Hunter is beginning to bring freezing rain, sleet, and snow throughout the region leaving hazardous conditions in Comcast South’s markets including Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia and Arkansas. As the storm continues, some areas throughout our region could be without power or may be impacted by damaged utility lines resulting from high winds, fallen trees, ice, and vehicle accidents. Customers located in those impacted areas may also experience a loss or interruption of their Xfinity service due to the severe weather conditions.

Comcast’s goal is to restore any services affected as soon as it is safe for our employees to do so. At this time, some service appointments may be delayed or rescheduled in areas throughout Nashville and Memphis. Impacted customers will be notified. In addition, our Xfinity retail stores in these areas have closed early today, Friday, January 12.

We are encouraging customers to get outage updates for their area and information about their Xfinity service by visiting My Account located at www.xfinity.com/MyAccount or using the My Account app from any secure, Internet-enabled mobile device. Customers can always call us at 1-800-Xfinity.

We will continue to provide updates via Twitter @ComcastSouth, on our Facebook page, and on our home page.

We thank our customers for their understanding during this time.
