Bringing New Xfinity Experience to Chattanooga with Transformational Retail Environment

Comcast’s newly launched cell phone service, Xfinity Mobile, among available services

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.August 25, 2017 –  Comcast announced today plans to open a new Xfinity retail environment in Chattanooga, Tenn. The 1,500-square-foot facility will be located in the Hamilton Place Mall and is designed to offer hands-on access to Comcast’s Xfinity Mobile, Internet, X1, Phone, and Xfinity Home products. Comcast also intends to open a location at 1926 Gunbarrell Road in 2018. 

The store opens today, August 28, and will be open for business Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The new Xfinity retail presence will be the first of its kind to be added in Chattanooga, and is part of a broader national effort to positively transform how customers do business with Comcast.

The space will bring together Comcast’s suite of innovative products and services in a unique store experience. With dedicated sales consultants, touchscreen displays and product showcases, the store will serve as an interactive space in which customers can discover Comcast’s wide range of Internet, video, phone and home security and automation products and services. Customers can sign-up for services and purchase products at the store including Xfinity Mobile merchandise.

Nationally, Comcast has made significant improvements to enhance the customer experience through employee trainings, new customer tools and the reduction of customer wait times. In total, Comcast is creating more than 5,500 customer service jobs in the U.S. to support this mission.

Comcast invests over $120 million per year in Tennessee through building a high-skilled workforce, deploying innovative products and investing in advanced broadband across the state. Over the last two years in Chattanooga, Comcast has deployed a high-performance 10-gigabit network for the businesses community, launched Gigabit Pro, a two-gigabit residential internet service, and a one-gigabit Internet service.

Comcast has also added over 10,000 outdoor Wi-Fi hotspots across great Chattanooga, offering an unparalleled online experience for customers.
