Atlanta, Ga., Jan. 5, 2015 — Comcast has named Cherie M. Caldwell Vice President of Human Resources, reporting to Doug Guthrie, Regional SVP for the company’s operations across the southern region. In her new Atlanta-based role, Ms. Caldwell will be responsible for developing effective human resources initiatives that support the region’s nearly 2,000 representatives. She will oversee employee relations and engagement initiatives, performance management and succession planning.

Ms. Caldwell possesses an extensive global background with Fortune 500 corporations, including her role as Director of Associate Relations at The Home Depot, where she led employee relations and engagement initiatives for multiple business units and divisions for 100,000 company representatives in over 1,000 locations.
With deep professional roots in Atlanta, she has also served as managing director of Global Diversity, Talent Acquisition & Retention for Delta Airlines, where she built strategies that optimized the hiring and retention of diverse talent, while increasing applicant work flow at numerous locations.
Ms. Caldwell is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Personnel and Labor Relations. She has achieved numerous Human Resources designations, and is a member of the Atlanta Human Resources Leadership Forum. She has also volunteered with several organizations, including her role as a board member of Imagine It! The Children’s Museum of Atlanta, which promotes childhood learning through imaginative and creative role-play.
